I was 13 years old. By that time, my parents, like many others, had spent a lot of money and time on my English classes. Nothing helped: the grades were low, I memorized the texts like poetry, and skillfully copied grammar tests from a neighbor on the desk.
I reacted to my father’s decision to send me to England in the summer in the same way as to a new grammar topic – Present Perfect Continuous: Why do I need this ???? But the parents did not ask, they contacted the agency in advance, picked up a school and a two-week language course in England.
These two weeks of summer have changed my life. I fell in love with the country, with the culture, with the family in which I lived. I fell in love with the language !!!! It turns out that you can understand songs in English, read articles and books, meet and make friends with peers from all over the world! This became such a strong motivation for me that during the next year I studied with a teacher for several hours a day, and each grammar topic seemed to me more and more interesting. The next summer, as in the next 10 years of my life, I went to England again.
Since 2005 I have been organizing travel to the UK.
Then I could write about 100 stories about each of my clients. About how they chose a school, how they worried about a visa, how they hid bad grades from their parents and how they rejoiced together about letters about admission to university, how my mother decided to shop in London while my father is studying business English in Cambridge.
I think we need to get acquainted.
Studying in the UK has always been considered very prestigious, and British diplomas and certificates are recognized throughout the world. Studying in the UK gives people a tremendous opportunity not only to improve their English, but also to gain a rewarding experience of life in a different culture. This will allow in the future to choose among the most promising job offers in any country in the world. And a new circle of friends will help to establish relationships with the most talented, motivated and wealthy people from different countries, because it is these students who strive for the best – education in the UK.
If long-term training is not for you, take short-term courses during your holidays or vacations. In addition to the invaluable baggage of knowledge, skills and abilities, you will receive a certificate that will help you impress employers. It is also a great chance to travel around Foggy Albion: Edinburgh, Birmingham, York, Liverpool, Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton, Stonehenge … And London, of course! “If you are tired of London, you are tired of life,” said the famous English poet Samuel Johnson.
My name is Ludmila. I completed the British Council online course for the Certificate of Educational Consultant, I am organizing internships and training in the UK.
I will be glad to help you too! Studying in the UK is a profitable investment in your future!
